Together in Christ, a Tyneside based group of 50 Pentecostal/Charismatic  local church leaders representing churches from across the full range of denominations pray together weekly and discern what God is asking of them. In 2008 they were inspired to start Healing On The Streets (HoTS) when Mark Marx came and spoke of it and ran the first training. Over 300 people have undertaken the training and each Saturday whatever the weather a team prays in Brunswick Methodist church between 1-2pm and then offers healing near the Monument or on Northumberland Street in Newcastle. Testimonies of healing abound but the sense of God’s presence and people melting as they hear of the love of God for them is powerful. HoTS is growing up in many other centres across the country.

On Saturday 8th May 2010 the ministry of HoTS Newcastle was shared with a wide group of people from across the North East in an event sponsored by NECCT. Revd Robert Ward and the team shared the background and illustrated the ministry by praying with a person present the way that  it would be done on the streets. Folk were then given the opportunity to question a panel on the healing ministry and observe a session of HOTS and/or share in a healing service led by the Newcastle Church of England Diocesan Healing Team.
